Erasmian offers Drawing & Design Office Consulting at any stage of the Engineering Project Lifecycle, from P&ID creation to sandboxing, trouble-shooting, unbiased conceptual design and assistance during commissioning and handover.

We have assisted clients of all sizes in Africa, Middle East and Europe, including work w.r.t.:

• Consulting on the set-up of a drawing or design office, developing and implementation of processes and procedures.
• Assisting with the use of the design software; we specialise in the use of Autodesk software, specifically AutoCAD, Inventor, Plant 3D, Vault Basic & Professional, and the BIM360 platform.
• Auditing service of any design or drawing office in a project or consulting environment. Audit results can be used to increase efficiency through redesigning the processes used, or determining competitive advantage in the client’s market.
• Providing management of design, 3D modelling and draughting functions for project specific applications.
• Developing drawing control procedures to suit client requirements. Compliance to ISO and Best Practice standards.
• Technical writing of procedure manuals, specific to the requirements of the client. Manuals are done in English but can also be delivered in Dutch and German.

Mining Troubleshooting

Erasmian provided trouble-shooting w.r.t. bulk materials handling at iron ore mine in Northern Cape, South Africa.

We can assist with consulting throughout a project's lifecycle: creating P&ID from an engineer describing a process, using it in bankable feasibility to determine very rough costs (with sandboxing), helping to get financing, unbiased assistance with conceptual design, detailed engineering (2D, 3D, BOM & fabrication specs), building, commissioning and handover.

Motion Compensated Pile Gripper

Erasmian, via a Dubai-based fabricator of marine steelwork design, worked on the conceptual development of access walkways, staircases and catladders to the complete structure eventually implemented on the Orion offhore energy installation vessel.

Once concept was accepted by the client, Erasmian was involved in the detail layout and 3D design before handing it over to the structural detailing team.

Erasmian also assisted with the route planning for space claims on the hydraulic, power supply and control and instrumentation systems, developing the most effective placement of routing through the structures to reach all the equipment requiring electrical power, hydraulic control, and instrumentation placement.

Our work on this project, apart from being a general trouble-shooter, included the design, 3D modelling and material strength analysis of various components for the mounting of vendor supplied components.
